Yes, it is! Thanks to the new California state laws, almost every residential property (whether single family or multifamily) can have an ADU. Plus, the cities have to approve any ADU that is up to 800 sq. ft., 4 ft. away from the property lines, and 16 ft. tall under the new California Statewide Exemption ADU rules. Some cities even allow bigger ADUs with less restrictions, but this depends on where you live.
